Job Description

Presley Consulting is currently working with its good client, a multinational marketer and distributor of quality industrial raw materials, who is looking for a competent candidate for a position of Product Manager specialized in Construction and Product Manager specialized in Metal.


1. Product Manager – Construction
 

Purpose:
To further develop and expand the company’s business within the construction chemicals and related industries in Indonesia. To maintain and grow a good relationships that exist with company’s customer base. To provide technical support where required. To identify a new opportunities for the company.

Responsibilities

- Will work with local management in Jakarta and the global manager – construction (based in Sydney)

- To increase sales and profit, develop profitable new opportunities for the company.

- To represent the company in a professional way

- To prepare an annual budget and provide reports in English (competitor activities, new market developments, credit risk problem, etc.)

- To strictly follow all credit control and commercial risk procedures as presented in the company’s staff manual.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in business, commerce or applied sciences from reputable institution

- Have a combination of technical and commercial qualifications

- Have a specific training in the application of various construction raw materials

- Minimum 5 years experiences in sales of industrial raw materials.

- Have proven success in meeting sales target and new business development

- Have a specific experience in sales of construction chemicals and related raw materials

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluency in spoken and written English

- A motivated and enthusiastic sales demeanour

- A practical thinker with ability to grasp technical concepts

 

2. Product Manager – Metal/ Steel
 

Purpose:
To further develop and expand the company’s metallurgical (ferrous & nonferrous) in Indonesia. To maintain and grow a good relationships that exist with company’s customer and supplier base. To identify and report back on new opportunities for the company.

Responsibilities:

- To work closely with local management in Jakarta and the relevant business manager (based in Singapore and/or Sydney).

- To increase sales and profit, develop profitable new opportunities for the company.

- To represent the company in a professional way

- To prepare an annual budget and provide reports in English (competitor activities, new market developments, credit risk problem, etc.)

- To strictly follow all credit control and commercial risk procedures as presented in the company’s staff manual.

Requirements:

- A Bachelor degree or other tertiary qualification in a relevant technical or business field e.g.; Material Science, Metallurgy, Engineering, Business etc.

- Have a combination of technical and commercial qualifications

- A successful background of 4 years in a technical sales field with a track record clearly showing budget target have been achieved.

- Sales Experience to metallurgical industries; specifically sales of primary metals (aluminium & zinc) and alloying raw materials for the ferrous and nonferrous metal industries with established customer relationships.

- A good understanding of metallurgical process and raw materials

- Demonstrated ability to run a business in a professional and competent way to meet objective, solve business problems etc.

- Experience in a trading or import/ export environmentExperience in setting budgets and monthly reporting on budget performance

- Demonstrated their ability to use their initiative to identify and develop new opportunities

- A good command of the English language – both written and oral

- A motivated and enthusiastic sales demeanour

- A good player to become a part of a team

- Own a vehicle
